Last night was the annual Medical Mess Club. Remember when your Dad was dressed as Fred Flintstone and sang his jingle?
My favorite parody of the night was the performance by the medical students. They sang and danced, in outfits much like Beyonce et al (even 2 guys!) to "If it's bleedin' ya should a put a clamp on it"
Single Ladies
I groaned a a little during three (3!) Obamacare songs (or references) but jumped back in the fun with "He's coding on a jet plane" --once the stewardess identified the doctor on the plane (he was reading JAMA and making notes with his Viagra pen) she handed the passenger off to him so she could continue delivering the champagne to first class.
Sunday: Just returned from Madama Butterfly with stage, projection and costumes designed by Jun Kaneko. It blew us away. The opera itself is beautiful and the stage design, screens, and costumes were mesmerizing--changing works of art in subtle and also very graphic manners. We arrived early and got front row grand tier seats which put us at the perfect viewing level. We were simply awestruck as the scenes unfolded. I have attached a link that shows more colorfully exactly what he accomplished.
