Joe and Christin's Wedding Day

The wedding day dawned bright and early--December 31, 2013. We were to the salon by 8:00 with large lattes in hand!

Joe had flowers and a note for Christin-she ended up wearing one of the flowers in her hair

Amanda starts with Torrey

Torrey, Nicki and Em--thats a lot of hair to curl!

Christin arrives after morning jog and picking up dress

Christin's gift to the girls-personalized towels. Note her wedding flip flops from Katie Goodby :D

Cara's done, on to the bride!

Gorgeous--Em, Nicki and Torrey!

Our first limo! Isn't he adorable?

Nick needs a drink after checking Joe into the honeymoon hotel and preparing surprises all day long :D

Bridal bouquet is fantastic and smelled wonderful!

Adorable!

Handsome groom!

Coley and Conor- trying to stay cool (and calm and collected) --note the stain glass window
Beautiful bride!

I will have to add pics of Christin when the photographer sends them ;D

Beautiful dress, flowers, necklace-such a stunning bride!

Cheers--they did it!

The lava wall in the foreground is what we had to scale to get to this beach--it was a bit of a walk especially  for someone whose tailor altered her dress a bit too much--right Em? Nick was there to give a "boost"!

Catching the last of the sun at secret beach (the nudes were one beach over (about 20 yards)

The photographer will adjust lighting on hers-then this will be a keeper!

Happy parents--now friends

And a montage of "selfies" from these two adorable
 hipsters :D

Sarento's --I don't have many good photos due to indoor lighting, but it was beautiful. Near to the beach and very festive on this New Year's Eve! We enjoyed our private dining room and exquisite menu chosen by the O'Briens. Coley, Cara, Nick and Mitch toasted the bride and groom memorably (!).

One of many fabulous toasts!
A touching (tearful) poem

Afterward, we all kissed and hugged and said our goodbyes……..only to dash down the beach with 40 tiki torches and set up a surprise dance floor for Christin to come upon as she strolled down the beach in the moonlight with Joe. She had no idea what was up--until the music started and he asked her to dance with Van Morrison singing Into the Mystic. Then she danced with Coley to The Way You Look Tonight
and I danced with Joe. Our song was Somewhere Over the Rainbow   (!) (listen here) Yes, it was amazing. We greeted the New Year and then packed up our little party, to the amazement of the other beach partiers. ;D

.......We were born before the wind
Also younger than the sun
Every bonnie boat was one as we sailed into the mystic
Hark, now hear the sailors cry
Smell the sea and feel the sky
Let your soul and spirit fly into the mystic..
