~~~July 2016~~~
The cabin is almost finished! We were lucky to have John and Ardie's place to stay in during our summer vacation this year and visited our cabin construction daily. The exciting things were the stone being laid on the front and walking through all the rooms imagining the light coming through those beautiful windows every morning. There is already chatter about a 2017 Christmas at the lake.......way too much for me to think about, but there will be heat!
Vacation really started when Nick, Nicki and Ruby arrived in Omaha for a few days prior. We were able to go to Jazz on the Green with Emily and Torrey and have drinks and appetizers while Ruby enjoyed the latin beat :D .
The next day I joined them at the Children's Museum and it was very exciting! They have this Ocean exhibit that blew our socks off--not to mention all the play places.....Ruby Loved It.

That night we picked up yet another U-Haul and Nick, Nicki, Mitch and Torrey helped us load it. Thanks guys!!! Last haul to MN with cabin furniture! Kevin has had leg surgery and is on a scooter so yours truly is driving. Joe and Christin met us all at the other end in Sauk Centre and between the 6 of us we got it unloaded quickly. Off to see the new cabin!
Ok--on to John's house and vacation begins! Emily and Mitch followed and arrived at 7:00. Torrey is in Colorado preparing for her sister's wedding next weekend.
