I won't spoil her entrance but it is PERFECT and she will be able to run around her yard, cabin, wedding area looking beautiful and feeling comfortable. I found a dress too--and couldn't be more pleased. Sue's work was not done as she sent us directly to lingerie for private consultations. Unanimous on one thing--it was life changing--'nuf said. Oprah why didn't I listen to you years ago!? We had fun shopping the rest of the day--and ran into "Sue" everywhere--our new best friend!
On to the Sheraton Crown Center where I had pricelined our room. It was a very busy lobby complete with a Mary Kay Cosmetic convention and "Dancing with the Stars" auditions! Now, those ladies are over the top! Unfortunately, as we checked in, the last room was taken and they were "forced" to upgrade us to the Executive Suite--yes!
We grabbed a taxi to Lidia's and enjoyed some Italian red as we talked about our day. Lidia's (click here)
The chandeliers are individual hand blown glass globes --probably 40-50 arranged in a light fixture and hanging from the wooden beamed ceilings. We loved the place and all of the french patio doors were open to the air. It was perfect. The food was fabulous and we felt we had earned the calories--but are determined to get fit on Monday :D
Sunday we went to City Market --an ethnic food, vegetable and flower market in the River Market area near downtown. We tasted wine & cheese at the Italian grocery and enjoyed broccoli quiche with apple tarts at the french bakery. The sign in a gift store said "I came to buy cucumbers and left with a purse" and Diane did find a purse.
