Durham Western Heritage Museum
Kevin spent most of the day reviewing for his Family Practice Boards (every 7 years!) and then we headed downtown to walk and stop at the Durham. We loved the costume exhibit "Cut!" but also the Brandeis Department Store exhibit. They did not have any artifacts from the building as I had hoped, but the photos brought back great memories of birthday lunches with Grandma Vi in the Brandeis Tea Room, Christmas Wonderland on the 10th Floor; the "Bargain Basement"; and most of all "meet me under the clock at Brandeis" that became our farewell song before exploring on our own.
Today we grabbed just a coupled of pictures on our walk and also helped rescue a teacup-sized dog that had escaped his collar. Time to get out of this blustery wind and come home to watch the Jays win their 3rd game (?) at Arch Madness!
