Nick Gets Sick

Nick joined a pick-up basketball game this spring and showed his dunking skills for one fabulous move, until he slipped and fell to the ground. Wrists extended to break his fall, he broke both wrists instead.  After pampering with slings and ice for a week he consulted orthopedics in Maui , his left arm casted and right arm splinted. Not healing well, he decided to come to Omaha for the rest of the treatment- surgery with pinning.

Unfortunately, he had to leave Nicki for three weeks but we did our best to pamper him while he recovered!

We enjoyed a lot of sushi and wonderful restaurants and got in a few summer sights as well.

Nick hates medicine, hospitals and IV's --the nurse was kind enough to wrap his IV in green dinosaur tape :D

After his one week follow up he had a cast placed and literally hopped into his car and headed to Chicago and Michigan to visit brothers for two weeks. After that he flew out to re-join Nicki on their summer vacation in Montana.
