She Got There!

Diane came upon a condo one day while driving her granddaughter home; arranged to see it; and bought it on the spot! All very uncharacteristic for Diane but that only confirmed to us how much she loved it and wanted to be there!

She forged ahead, sold her home in days, and started packing. We all know there were several missteps from there--causing a two week delay on her plans. Not only was she sent into a financial spiral regarding her buyer's ability to buy, but she lost a lot of help as people returned to work and vacations. Finally, on a Friday night she had two days warning and frantically found movers (thanks Kate!). I arrived to help at 5 and she said her movers had cancelled--because they had "fought all day and didn't want to work together tonight"!  I started to post a job on Craig's list ("two men and one truck will make $400 tonight")  but Kevin saved the day by asking his cleaning staff, Matt, if he had ideas. Yes he did. Promptly arrived two of the nicest guys on earth--and energetic even though they had cut down and hauled trees all day!. By 11 pm Kevin, Ben and Lyle were setting up her bed and heading for home.

Its a beautiful space and I know she will love it! Her neighbors seem so sweet and friendly. I don't think she could ask for more. Cheers to you Diane! Way to hang in there!

Packed and ready to go
A beautiful yard and deck--gave them pleasure for years but now was hard to keep up!
Lovely living room

Open and airy kitchen

My preview--I loved it too!
It got funny as the night wore on because we kept telling the movers "thats Paul's-take it downstairs" -----finally they said "who's Paul and where is he tonight?"
Jenny and Marsha continued working in the kitchen Saturday and Sunday. Kate and Paul arrived the next day and Kate was able to spend the next week helping Diane get moved in and settled. Paul had been free for the first moving date but not this one! Luckily Diane does have an entire first level unfinished and it is perfect for storage :D

Heading to the park down the street

Catching up :D

It will be fabulous to be one block away from Maddie, Mollie, Ben and Jenny

Congrats MoMo! You got there!
