Make Room for Baby!

Nick, Nicki and Ruby have been making their way eastward with vacations in Spokane, Montana and weddings in Montana and Denver before rolling into big "O" in mid-July. We borrowed highchair, baby toys, pac'n'play and baby swing to help them in their stay. I had fun buying baby bowls with suction feet, tippy cups, and two baby pools (big one and a smaller back up).

We filled the big pool with pool noodles cut into pieces and it turns out that was a lot of fun and a pretty good teething toy :D

After so many flights a wedding, Ruby looked more than ready to get naked and make a splash

She seems to like it here and its special to have her here for the first time :D

We start early and she does too
Monday night we met Emily at a brewery patio in Benson -look at the beautiful group I am with today!

Pretty special

She has one little lower tooth and is really interested in drinking and chewing (not necessarily "eating" quite yet!)

We've all decided she looks just like Mama!

On Wednesday we had some family stop by for dinner and to meet the baby of the hour--of course Maddie and Mollie love her, and Ruby adores children (so much more easily than getting comfortable with adults-she has unconditional trust of kids)

On Thursday Nick and Nicki went on a date in the Old Market and I got to spend a couple of hours down there myself, with Ruby. We started by looking at the horse drawn carriage and then went to the toy store to play

Thats what I call shopping!

Ok--possibly not ready to play princess, but showing great verbal skills with this large fluffy pick thing!
We also hit Ted and Wally's for ice cream which she thoroughly enjoyed (I think the eating thing is looking pretty interesting now) and she showed me her latest trick of napkin-ripping!

Time to pack our bags and head to the lake Ruby!

See you there soon!
