We worked really hard to find a long weekend to get together with the Burkes and Labor Day was it! They flew into Sioux Falls and we picked them up to avoid the Mnpls traffic north to the lakes. We talked all the way to the cabin!
Bill and I were first up every morning and enjoyed each sunrise. He was on the dock and I was having coffee in the house. Then followed fishing, long lunches, walking, boat rides, reading and more fishing. Sleep and repeat.
Kate loved stand up paddle boarding and was proud to show her kids that an "old dog (her words!) learned a new trick"! Of course she did, she was a lifeguard!

October(fest)
Greg, Andrea, Maddy, Steve and Mary joined us in mid-October for a beautiful weekend. We didn't have a boat and the dock was removed early the first morning (6 am!). But we had so much fun together.
Late in the day we discovered a pumpkin and apple farm near St. Johns. Maddy is crazy about pumpkins and we all enjoyed the outing.
Greg and Steve revisited Nohner's Resort and we all went out to Fisher's on the lake for some pure nostalgic Minnesota ambience with a side of walleye : )
