Snorkeling the Molokini Crater

On Saturday we joined a snorkel tour on a beautiful boat to the Molokini crater. The captain said the harbor was the "second windiest place on the planet" and it really felt like that! So-the water was rough and we kept our eyes on the horizon determined to keep our sea legs etc. As we approached Molokini, the waters calmed and I eagerly anticipated the best snorkeling in the world.  Unfortunately, those with me knew that I had had a prior experience long ago where I panicked in the water.  Here too. No sooner did I get in and look under  the  cold, choppy water with the rock lava foreboding wall of shoreline, then I panicked. So, I climbed aboard and watched from safe harbor.  It wasn't serene or calm as the photo above would lead you to expect.  However, I truly wish I could have "breathed" through it!   Nick and Nicki make it look easy!
